Potensi Kulit Batang Cinnamomum burmannii Sebagai Antidiabetes Berdasarkan Analisis Kadar Kreatenin dan Histologi Ginjal Mencit (Mus musculus) Diabetes Mellitus

Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is one of the chronic diseases that can quickly increase the prevalence of complications in sufferers, such as kidney failure. This lamp aims to determine the effect of Cinnamomum burmannii bark methanol extract on decreasing creatinine levels in the blood of mice (Mus musculus) and repairing kidney damage to mice (Mus musculus) Diabetes Mellitus. Mice were divided into 5 groups: negative control groups, positive controls, and mice groups given methanol extract of Cinnamomum burmannii stem bark doses of 125 mg/head/day, 250 mg/head/day, and 500 mg/head/day. In the positive control group and the mice group to be given an extract injected streptozotocin at a dose of 0.1 ml and observed blood sugar levels, if the sugar level increased, the methanol extract of the bark of Cinnamomum burmannii was given at a predetermined dose and blood sugar levels were measured. On the last day, surgery is performed to take blood and kidney organs, which further makes histological preparations. The results showed that Cinnamomum burmannii bark methanol extract can lower creatine levels and prevent kidney damage in diabetes mellitus mice. This is due to the content of secondary metabolite compounds contained in the bark of Cinnamomum burmannii.
